2100+ Square Feet
Built in 1932, during an era when craftsmanship was prized and permanence mattered, 1343 Palou has stood the test of time—with rich details, solid bones, and a touch of old Hollywood glamour.
Step inside the front door and you’re already in character. Lavish parquet floors guide your way, while a curved stairway invites a grand entrance—even if you’re just headed up for socks in one of the two front bedrooms, each framed by triple arched windows and more of those gleaming, inlaid floors.
The real showstopper? A wide-open kitchen and dining space that gives way to cinematic southern views—stretching from the Bay to Sutro Tower—with glass doors that open onto a spacious view deck. Morning coffee here will feel like the first shot of a classic film, and your evening glass the final scene of a story well told.
Down on the main level and tucked behind the stairs, a generous suite of rooms offers room to stretch out—private, peaceful, and perfect for anyone working from home (with the shortest commute imaginable). A principle bedroom has a lavish adjacent bath and another deck with those views. A second spacious bedroom and adjacent full bath complete this level, making it ideal for guests, multigenerational living, or just having room to exhale.
One level below, you’ll find an additional 700 square feet of bonus space- with more views and direct access to the patio and yard. Whether you’re hosting foosball tournaments, building the ultimate playroom, or creating a dreamy home studio, it’s all ready for your next act.
The 1300 block of Palou is on a gentle up slope, Two blocks down, the 3rd Street light rail is at your disposal for the upcoming Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish concerts, while the 15 Express Bus across the street is your ride directly into the heart of the Financial District. And did we mention the freeway access to the 101 or 280? Never mind- you can check it out for yourself on Google Maps.

Neighborhood
Bayview, just south of Islais Creek, is a community known for being an artist's colony and gardening mecca. Both the Hunters Point Shipyard Artists Open Studio and Flora Grubb Gardens are cases in point. The neighborhood takes pride in its public and backyard gardens, and the San Francisco Produce Market provides local produce to many of San Francisco's finest restaurants. Three-quarters of the residents are loyal homeowners, many of whom have developed the Quesada Garden Initiative. This community-building effort started with a few neighbors beautifying Quesada Avenue and has blossomed into an award-winning project and serves as a model for communities across the nation. Properties are still affordable and comprised primarily of single-family residences. Architecture is a smorgasbord with some renovated projects, colorful stucco homes and Victorians.
